Last week, I introduced you to my assistant Ashley, one of the stellar ladies on my team who help keep Simply Stunning Events running smoothly both on wedding days and behind the scenes during the planning process. This week I want you to meet our other Associate Coordinator and Event Assistant, Alex Bovee!
I get many resumes from aspiring planners that pass through my email each week but Alex’s stood out for two reasons, first she was NOT a recent bride that had enjoyed planning her own wedding so much that she now wanted to be a wedding planner, and second she actually had experience in the wedding industry (a rare find let me tell you). Alex has a degree in Hospitality Management from Central Michigan University and previously worked for the Walt Disney Company in Hilton Head, South Carolina and also as an assistant coordinator for a special event company. She was very eager to learn and has a great personality so after completing an internship with Simply Stunning Events, she officially joined the team! When not working weddings you can most likely find Alex listening to country music, watching One Tree Hill (which I am now completely hooked on) or creating a new craft project (she has some serious DIY skills).
