Lara and Charles—where to begin! I can’t believe this wedding was well over a year ago and that I was 8 months pregnant for it but I’m finally getting around to blogging about it.
These two and their families were an absolute blast to work with. Lara is one of those triple-threat kind of women, she’s smart, super athletic, and gorgeous (and doesn’t she somewhat resemble the actress Meg Ryan?). Charles is such a great match for her and they are both such kind people. The couple celebrated their marriage in May of 2011 at Congregation Micah in a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony. And as you’ll soon see, Lara loves the color pink, and much of the flowers and decor centered around soft pinks, ivories, and peach tones. All of the photos are by the fantastic, Evan Banes.
Lara, as always, looked absolutely stunning. She carried a feminine bouquet of roses, as did her elegant bridesmaids. The whole color scheme looked gorgeous in Congregation Micah, largely due to the hard work put in by Charles and Lara’s florist, Holliday Flowers.
After the ceremony, Lara and Charles invited their guests for a reception at War Memorial Auditorium for dancing, toasts, and an incredible dinner by Chef’s Market. Although the space itself is beautiful, the décor made the event absolutely spectacular.
The focal point of the party, though, was really the cake! This six-tiered marvel was done by Cakes by Shara. We loved the piping detail!
Most brides cannot say that they are able to pick up their husbands, but we’d like to remind you that Lara is not “most brides.” Half way through Lara’s choreographed dance with her new husband, this girl picks him right up off the floor, showing off some of her crazy gymnastics talents and absolutely “wow”ing the crowd.
The couple’s photographer, Evan Baines Photography, and videographer First Dance Pictures, did an incredible job of capturing how exciting the night truly was. To the tunes of their selected Cosmo Creations DJ, guests partied all night long.
