Today’s quick wedding planning tip is a follow up on my recent blog post about the process of researching and finding your vendors. Once you have met with a potential wedding vendor please oh please send a thank you email and let them know your final decision! Yes, I know it may feel awkward to let someone know that you have decided to book someone else, but it’s the kind thing to do after they have give you their time for free. Keep in mind that more time probably went into that meeting than you realize. Vendors have to prep their marketing materials, gather their notes and ideas, not to mention the time spent driving to and from the meeting and then the meeting itself. Personally, that adds up to about 3 hours total that I spend on a potential client that may or may not even book my services. So don’t leave them hanging, send a nice thank-you note or email and let them know that you either love them and can’t wait to get started OR that you have chosen to work with someone else.
