Megan and Brett were married on June 30, 2012 in a southern, summer ceremony and reception, both held at Belle Meade Plantation. The couple’s “sweet” vision for their special day shone through in each detail. All photos are from our good friend and amazing photographer, Kristyn Hogan.
Brides by Lisa and Hair Expressions pampered the bride and her wedding party the morning of the ceremony.
The pale yellow, pink and peach color scheme was the perfect choice for this vintage-inspired wedding. The bride was stunning in a lace gown, accented by a bouquet of garden roses, white rannunculas, ivory dahlia, and peonies from Brocade Design Arts.
The bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids carried bouquets similar to the bride’s with deeper color accents. The groom and groomsmen sported pale pink rannunculas and garden rose buds. The wedding party had plenty of laughs on Megan and Brett’s big day, and Kristyn Hogan captured it all.
Megan and Brett’s “first look” was one to remember. Brett couldn’t wait to see his bride!
The sun was shining at the couple’s outdoor ceremony, but just in case guests got too hot, they provided these adorable fans. We loved this Southern touch!
The cocktail hour and reception were full of vintage inspiration, from a personalized corn hole game and signature drinks in mason jars, to vintage china, this couple thought of it all!
We went crazy over this creative guest book! Guests signed puzzle pieces that all fit together in the shape of a tree. Megan and Brett now not only have a way to remember all of their guests, but also a beautiful work of art.
At the reception, Chef’s Market catered a delicious buffet dinner and The Bake Shoppe designed a gorgeous textured cake. Notice the bride and groom figurines on the top layer!
Megan and Brett kicked off the party with their first dance. Nashville Event Lighting gave their reception space a romantic and fun feel, and Justin Adams, Rob Higginbotham, and the Clancy Brothers provided the entertainment.
Afterwards, guests of all ages got sassy on the dance floor… and so did Megan’s dress. The bride removed her full skirt to unveil a trumpet-style dress, perfect for dancing!
Brett had one more surprise up his sleeve for Megan. Thankfully, she was a good sport!
Megan and Brett, we hope you enjoyed your wedding as much as we enjoyed planning it! Thank you for including us in such a special time in your lives, and we wish you all the best in the future!
