Last June, I had the pleasure of working with Kate and Paul Benson on their cute and quirky wedding at Traveler’s Rest Plantation. Kate chose bright colors and added charming details in the decor and theme of the wedding which perfectly match the personalities of herself and Paul.
The ceremony was held at the Church of the Assumption in Nashville. You can see the adoration Paul has for Kate while she is walking down the aisle that was captured by the amazing photographer Kristyn Hogan.
Brocade Designs provided the decor and florals for the event. The centerpieces were a combination of brightly colored gerber daisy’s, roses, button mums and ranunculus.
Pennant banners and the letters K, P and B made by the bride were hung on the front door as a welcome and behind the cake to add even more beauty to an already pretty wedding cake by The Bake Shoppe. The lanterns, provided by Nashville Event Lighting added brightness and texture to the room, bringing a nice pop of color over the buffet tables.
Later on in the evening a surprise arrived for the guests that was a major hit! Las Paletas handed out their gourmet popsicles to all of the wedding guests. Unique flavor choices included Honeydew, Spicy Hot Chocolate, Cucumber and Avocado along with more traditional flavors of strawberry and lime. The guests also got a bib for their popsicle that had the date of Kate and Paul’s wedding on it.
Kate and Paul, you were a great couple to work with and we wish you nothing but the best as your future as Mr. and Mrs. Benson!!
